The railway lines in some sections are not fit for high speed running of trains. I can't say how they have been cleared for high speed runs. I haven't travelled through many routes. But I have travelled through few routes. Like from Kharagpur to Tatanagar by Janshatabdi at speeds of 120 kmph. Trains in this section run so smooth that you can't know the speed until you check it by speedometer. But while travelling in some sections like between Garhwa Road and Mugasarai, by Rajdhani Express at 130 kmph, it is so rough travel that the coach is constantly bouncing in all direction violently, up - down, left - right, that few times I was literally thrown off my berth and was prevented from falling down by the side chains which hold the berth. Once I also was thrown upwards and my head hit the wall. It felt so surprising how...

the wheels of the train are still on the tracks, when the coach itself is bouncing so violently. But all the rest people had no concern at all, sleeping in peace. The tracks of such routes should be repaired and until repair is done, maximum permissible speed of the trains should be reduced.

Even CNI-ASN, ADRA-KGP feels so dam smooth. Whereas, 130 in HWH-KAN(HBC) often feels very shaky. KAN-ASN is slightly better though.

Opinion | Ambition Derailed: When Modernisation Collides with Neglect on Indian Railways

A recent derailment of the Howrah-Mumbai CSMT Mail near Rajkharsawan station in Jharkhand, resulting in two deaths and 20 injuries, adds to a growing trend of railway accidents in India. This incident marks the third derailment in Jharkhand in the past six months and the third major railway accident in India...

within six weeks. This 'hattrick' of accidents highlights a dangerous gap between the country's push for modernization and its neglect of basic safety measures. The accidents are raising concerns about the Indian Railways' safety record, preparedness, and orientation. While the number of consequential train accidents per million kilometers travelled has decreased, the recent increase in major accidents suggests that safety measures may not be keeping pace with modernization efforts. The focus on speed and modernization should not come at the cost of lives, and safety must be prioritized to ensure true progress.

India mein railway accidents ka ek growing trend hai, aur yeh latest accident, Howrah-Mumbai CSMT Mail ka Rajkharsawan station ke paas derailment, iski ek aur example hai. Yeh Jharkhand mein last six months mein teesra derailment hai, aur six weeks mein India mein teesra major railway accident. Yeh 'hattrick'...

accidents, India ke modernization efforts aur basic safety measures ke beech ek dangerous gap ko highlight karte hain. Accidents se Indian Railways ke safety record, preparedness, aur orientation ke baare mein chintaen ho rahi hain. Although consequential train accidents per million kilometers travelled mein decrease aaya hai, recent major accidents se pata chalta hai ki safety measures modernization efforts ke saath pace nahin rakhe hain. Speed aur modernization pe focus lives ki cost pe nahin aana chahiye, aur safety ko prioritize karna chahiye true progress ke liye.
