That is the problem when the reporter is sitting in New Delhi & writing arbitrarily whatever comes to her mind & in the process making wild guesses.
Forget about New Delhi I dont think in the entire 7 North Indian States,there is so much of bio-diversity hotspot present which is present along this 161 km Rail Corridor...70 kmph through Elephant Corridor....?? Some articles have written close to 80,someone even exceeding 100...that means,whatever comes to their mind they're putting on the numbers....I request to all such reporters pay Only Rs 25/- & have a ride in 55725 which passes through this dense jungle all through night & beilive my word...IF you dont get irritated with the crawling of the trains, after that...

recently I took Kanchan Kanya from APDJ at night and the train really crawled till SGUJ and we reached there 2 hrs late. This is the routine for Kanchankanya that it reaches SGUJ 2 or more hrs late.
still according to news reporters,Mmata Banerjee, & Hiten Burman no train is abiding by speed restriction & running @ 80-100 kmph speed through forest....how can they know speed of train in Dooars sitting in the comfort of Writers?
