Now the Part 2 the projects that will relive me from the above situation and by which I will feel that I will turn back home alive:- (Counting from last couple to decades to present)

1. Borivali Virar Quadrapling and Virar Dahanu Road EMU services - It took them a decade for this project and Dahanu Road got connected to Suburban system just a year ago. By that time the commuters has multiplied 10x times and the services just 2x times.
...

2. Thane Kurla 5th 6th line also took 15 years as against max 5 yrs proposed for completion.

3. I travel in Harbour line And I pity my co passengers. The creaky rakes and almost all of the fleet are twice as old as me are running in the corridor. I doubt that the floor will bear the weight of crowd till we reach the destination

4. The Siemens and Bombardier rakes inducted to reduce the passenger density have been inducted after a decade of their proposal and so as said above passengers have multiplied by 10 times during this period. AC rakes proposed to be inducted in 2011 have just rolled off ICF and trials and clearances awaits.

5. The only increase in Graph is the death tolls mounting every other day.

6. Commuters can't be blamed bcoz if they await an empty EMU (comfortable enuf to stand) they will probably reach their office by late noon and by that time its already time to pack up back home....

7. Atleast a dozen more projects have been sanctioned in various phases of MUTP and all are running behind by atleast 15 years and by the time of their completion the benefits will be in negative due to cost increase.

Now is it justified to always point fare increase for the retardedness of the officials who couldn't put projects on track on time which resulted in cost doubling?

Is it justified that pointing that Mumbai Suburban system is in losses bcoz the funds were not allocated by RB on time ?

Why should a passenger pay increased fare for no benefits or partial benefits?

Will you as a consumer purchase an apple for Rs. 20 which is half rotten ?

Totally baseless and a illogical comparison. I had a season ticket from Avadi to Velachery when I worked in Chennai. I used to commute from Avadi to Velachery daily , the quarterly ticket fare is just 560 rs for up and down. For 90 days , I pay only 7 rupees for 80 kms. Its very very less . In my view it should be doubled for suburban. A samosa vendors earns ten rs by selling 4 samosa to a one person. So it's not a big amount at all . If you take, Chennai MTC bus pass , you 'll pay 33rs a day . Whereas in train ? It's just 7 ! . So please do some basic homework before posting something

From Kovilpatti to Chennai Egmore 588 km travel in the Guruvayur link exp of Thoothukkudi to Egmore the cost of fares for me aged 62 Rs 105.But Egmore to AYYAPPNTHANGAL 19 km Auto /Taxi fares are the Rs 350.
By this comparison shall we ask IR to increase fares.IR has social responsibility to our Indian passengers. But nowadays IR tries to moved as corporate sector with huge profits.
IR systems built over so many free lands during British era in Metros to ordinary village areas.

Lol , another illogical comparison. Taxi vs A train . It's like comparing a flight vs unreserved class . Why don't u compare with a bus . Do u know that railways / MTC are meant for mass public transport , whereas taxi is limited to a single / family
