The main building of Dhanbad Railway Junction, set up in 1880 and then rebuilt in 1956, may have to be demolished to facilitate laying of tracks...

Bypassing DHN can be done even without constructing any station:P

Ashwini sir my feeling are :-
1. Hope they can't make lines on the other side of the station and the main building has to be broken off! Yes you saw it right!
I hope that they have break the main station building and hopefully shift back the DHN station to where it originally was near Mainaitand! The present complex has been a misengineered and the tracks bifurcate almost immediately leaving the option of rake reversals impossible and leaving 3 good platforms virtually under-used.

2. Beautification not required. Ot is sufficiently beautiful already, rather they should focus on providing better passenger amenities and remove any sub-standard service! Particularly the water purification system needs to be revamped and cleaniless on platform 3,4,5 can be much better.
3. 229 acres aren't available by any stretch of imagination unless they manage to dislodge those illegal occupants who live close to the tracks at Bhuli, Wasseypur and near Loco Tank.
And I wish the EDFC runs parrallel to the GC and they break and rebuild the DHN station elsewhere.
4. WIFI is good news!

Finally the information provided is not actually accurate!
The present main building was built in 1956!
The old station complex that was built in 1880 in Mainaitand is non existent as of now!
