Few stretches have been doubled, MAQ-SRR section has been electrified , stretch between KTYM-ERN/ERS also doubled but SR has only kept on increasing running time of trains. To a huge extent passenger associations are also to be blamed for not allowing speed up
Railway is spending lot of amounts for infrastructure improvement but the benefit of the same is not passes to the passengers. The same is denied by the some department of the railways due to their inefficiency like above mentioned.
