Yes. Now, that PMO has issued an order, just a little more Political influence is all that is needed to start the train.
But still the group who is playing at the back for non introduction of this train also very well knows how to tackle these Politicians and railway officers.

Can you share some info on what were the other timings suggested? Would be interesting to see as to what time is acceptable to SWR.
The SBC-ERS express has departure time of 18:50 from SBC and recently SWR had decided to shift its terminal siting congestion. So even if this new train starts running with the time of 19:10 dep from SBC, it will be ironical as to how then there is no congestion this time round.
If it starts running on Fridays, surely will be a big blow to bus...

But with Karnataka elections round he corner, sure they will be some benefit that Karnataka will get. The rail minister Piyush Goyal is one of the co-incharges of BJP over seeing Karnataka elections. Today there was an article that he called on HD Devegowda who discussed rail projects for karnataka.
