no, I meant that usually seat is allocated after chart preparation when ticket is waitlsted or rac.. this is the first time I saw such a thing..
This is becoz seats are leftover seats / partial journey seats are forwarded and allotted to road-side pax..e.g some pax might have been booked from JP/Kota to RTM, and RTM to BCT portion of a berth was vacant, So, pax are allotted unused portion of RTM-BCT as per priority/W/L standing..
got to know that it was actually on the intervention of some agent (my parents were travelling)
