What the use of making such a big Station[Dibrugarh Railway Station(DBRG)].This the biggest station in entire North East India with 18 lines,even bigger than Guwahati Railway station.Since Dibrugarh Railway Station is the starting point of Railway System in entire North East India now and even during the British Rule.During British rule it was famous as Dibru-Sadia Railway.

Railway and Trading company’ (ART) for smooth running of their business activities. It was commissioned on July 16, 1883. When coalmine was discovered at Ledo, another track was laid from Makum to Ledo the ART Company joining with the Dibru-Sadiya line.
