Many of u may be aware of GC between RTM-FTD (Ongoing), FTD-INDM (Scheduled), UJN-FTD (Proposed)... It has been frequently discussed on IRI that GC of RTM-INDM will reduce the distance to Delhi / Mumbai and all other places by at least 60 kms as plying via DWX & UJN could be avoided.
Last night, I had a dream... an ardent RF dreams about IR only... (A scene of 1.5 yrs from now) I saw that all imp. trains like Avantika, NZM intercity, INDB-GNC Shanti Exp, INDB-PUNE exp etc etc are going via FTD, bypassing UJN, DWX, NAD ... :-( Then I saw people of these places protesting... writing memorandums to political agents, railway board etc... more... to still ply Avantika etc Via UJN-DWX-NAD-RTM, why the hell did we dismantle an imp. stretch of a historical MG track???? All requests fall on deaf ears...
Here I and some like-minded peace-loving RFs gather and discuss the solutions.. Outcome - SLIPS!!!!! For every train that UJN/DWX/NAD lose, slips would be provided.... Eg: UJN's slips to be attached at FTD, DWX's at INDB, NAD at RTM...
