नई दिल्ली: अब रेल विभाग ने आधिकारिक तौर पर मान लिया है कि देश में टैल्गो ट्रेन नहीं चलाई जा सकती है. खास बात है कि जिन वजहों से टैल्गो ट्रेन को नहीं चलाने का फैसला लिया गया, उसके बारे में अधिकारियों को पहले दिन से जानकारी है.
स्पेन की टैल्गो ट्रेन का जब ट्रायल रन हो रहा था तब इसकी गति और सुविधा को लेकर तमाम तरह की बात कही जा रही थी, लेकिन अब रेलवे ने मान लिया है कि मौजूदा हालत में टैल्गो ट्रेन को नहीं चलाया जा सकता है.

के मुताबिक टैल्गो ट्रेन की फ्लोर हाइट काफी कम है जिसकी वजह से प्लेटफॉर्म पर चढ़ने उतरने में यात्रियों को दिक्कत होगी. इसके अलावा इस ट्रेन की लंबाई-चौड़ाई दूसरी ट्रेनों से कम है जिसकी वजह से इसको लेकर व्यावाहारिक दिक्कत आ सकती है. फिलहाल टैल्गो ट्रेन में नौ डिब्बे हैं जो किसी राजधानी एक्सप्रेस के पांच कोच के बराबर हैं.
अब रेलवे आपत्ति जता रही है कि आखिर पांच डिब्बों की ट्रेन को पटरी पर दौड़ाने का क्या तुक ? रेलवे की इस दलील पर किसी को आपत्ति नहीं है लेकिन समस्या ये है कि जिन दलीलों के आधार पर रेलवे टैल्गों को खारिज कर रही है, उसके बारे में उसे पहले दिन से जानकारी थी.

The rush of passengers /devotees to Nabadwipdham and Dainhat o­n the occasion of ‘Raas Purnima Mela’ , Eastern Railway’s Howrah division will run o­ne pair of EMU Special Train between Bandel and Katwa everyday o­n 6 & 7 November, 2014.
The Up EMU Special will leave Bandel at 16:45 hrs. and reach Katwa at 19:30 hrs. while the Down Special train leaving Katwa at 20:18 hrs will arrive at Bandel station at 23:20 hrs. This Special train will stop at all stations enroute in both the directions

Be it general coaches or Sleeper Class,everywhere you can see bamboo baskets or sack full of vegetables. Because of these vegetables,general public are unable to take their seat.This is the daily scenario in Haldibari Sealdah Teesta Torsa Exp.Passengers & Traders are requesting to provide an extra Vendor coach or Parcel Van attached to this Slip portion.
Chief Public Relations Officer,North East Frontier Rly,Saugata Lahiri says,"I'm well aware of the situation in Teesta Tora.The matter has been forwarded to higher authority.We'll look into whether passengers doesnt face any inconvenience.There is a demand for separate luggage van in many trains.All the requests are looked into."

The primary vegetable market in N.Bengal is Haldibari.Businessmen comes from various parts of the country to sell the vegetables in their area.Roadways are being exclusively used but for the SME traders,they prefer train for carrying their parcel. According to them,vegetables are delivered across the markets of various stations enroute.like Samsi,Bhaluka,MLDT,KGLE,BZLE,KWAE,AZ,NDAE. The only HCPV van is attached from New Alipurduar & loaded by pre-booking the luggage.Thats why vendors are compelled to take their vegetables even inside Sleeper & GS class.
Why the demand is more in 13142?According to traders,they can board in the night from the said places to reach Haldibari in morning.They purchase the vegetables from wholesale market & board 13142 in the afternoon.Bimala Mandal,KGLE,Rina Ghosh,BZLE,Majoor Alam,BKRD,says,"Due to absense of vendor coaches,we also face problem.We're forced to carry the vegetables in passenger coaches."Which results in conflict b/w vendors & passengers.Even the sacks are loaded beneath the berths in Sleeper coaches.Merchant Association Secretary says,"Rly deptt should look into addition of more coaches from Haldibari."Municipal councilor says,"Due to boarding of luggages passengers are facing problem in the train.Rly should look into passenger convenience."RPF & GRP personnel has assured to have extra vigilance into these luggages.
