dnivarA~ 1123 blog postsFor pilgrims to Mookambika temple do not alight here. it is better at KUDA/Kundapura from there you can get auto to Kundapura town. it cost 40. from there bus to Temple. i think its around 35 on bus. if you alight here there is no bus service and you will end up in paying taxi fare which is around 300 - 400.

The problem if u alight at Kundapura is that most bus takes different route to reach Kollur and most takes long route.Even if u ask the conductor they wont tell u whether it takes long route or Not.Also if from Kundapur need to take bus coming from Mangalore/Udupi ,the bus starting from Kundapur will be more slower and have more Stops..

I have been to temple twice..i havent seen a single bus to Byndoor.. but always buses to manglore are there.. even the co passenger with us in train said there is very few buses to kollur from byndor . We can get bus coming frm mangalore at kundapura .. just stand near the bye pass of bustand road.. u will get bus
I'm a person who is going to Kollur regularly for the past 12 years.
Every 25 -30 mins there are bus from Byndoor bus stand (Bus Will NOT come to railway station).

There are 3-4 routes that a mangalore - Kollur bus follows from kundapur.
Only a few takes the shortest route. Rest take the other long route and takes a lot of extra time.
(At times if the bus is full they too take short route but very rarely).On the other hand there is only One route for Byndoor- kollur buses i.e the same route that a taxi follows.

i said at kollur bus station i have never seen buses to Byndoor.. but always buses are available for UD,KUDA or MAQ
between 6 30am and 12 30pm there are about 9-10 trips from kollur to byndoor as told by a conductor.
I'm in kollur yesterday and today will try to take a pic of time board placed at kollur bus stand.

Yes if anybody going by Auto , KUDA is better as before train reach 30 km more for BYNR, Auto can reach temple.
If opting for bus from Kundapura, then can wait for Kollur busses at Shastri park area, where all Mangalore/Kundapura bus stand and busses are coming.

I am planning to take 16515 to BYNR from YPR. WIll I get buses from BYNR/KUDA at that time or should I alight at MAJN/UD itself. Please assist me. Thanks
Taxis would be there at BYNR . No idea abt buses at that time.
How much would a taxi cost? Is there some share taxi? What about MAJN to Kollur, since 16515 almost wastes 1 hour at MAJN.
Share taxi avl, if u can find a partner to share. Mangalore Kollur busses would be there
Thanks for the inputs. Ill try catching 12134 at MAJN if 16515 is early or look for buses from MAJN.
