This is a satellite station to the main two railway stations of Katni (Katni Jn. and Katni Murwara).

This station has 2 platforms, with platform 2 being the only platform where trains primarily stop. Platform 1 is on the Jabalpur to Katni Main Line. It can be accessed via a Foot Over-Bridge (the bridge was under construction when I had visited).

is a small waiting area along with the ticket and inquiry counter after you enter through the gate (ramp and stairs both available). A chart showing arrival and departure times of trains is also present.

Few autos are available outside the entrance gate for going towards the main city (which is at quite some distance).

Lighting and shelter on both the platforms are for considerable lengths either side from the entrance.

From platform 2 you can board trains coming from Bilaspur Side and Singrauli Side towards Jabalpur (bypassing Katni Jn.) or the other way round.

P.S.: Try not to go towards the end of the platform alone at night because there have been cases of abduction (got warned by an elderly person myself).
