The rooms to crash and chill at Kathgodam train station are freaking awesome! And you won't believe they charge peanuts for all the cool stuff they provide. So, I crashed at the dormitory for only Rs 95 (for 12 hours). I wasn't expecting much at all but had no other choice 'cause I needed to catch an early train, so wanted to be as close to the station as possible. But surprise, surprise - the beds were clean and comfy, and they had nice setups for privacy. The bedsheets were freshly washed and they even had a chill lounge area with comfy couches. The toilets and bathrooms were squeaky clean too. I ain't much of a talker, but trust me, this place was awesome. You gotta check it out yourself to believe it! My tip? Go ahead and book a room at KGM without a second thought if you ever swing by and need a place to crash. Oh, and by the way, the dorms/rooms are on the first floor, near the entrance on the right side, and the registration desk is at the platform. P.S. Sorry, couldn't snap any pics 'cause I got there super late and left super early.

Maine dormitory mein ruka tha aur sirf Rs 95 mein (12 ghante ke slot ke liye). Shuruwat mein meri expectations bilkul kam thi, lekin mujhe subah jaldi train pakadni thi, toh station ke paas rehna zyada behtar tha.

Meri surprise thi ki beds saaf-suthre aur privacy ke liye sahi tarah se arrange the. Di gayi linens bhi ache se dhoye gaye the. Ek common sitting area bhi tha jahan sofas the agar thodi der baithna chahte the. Toilets aur bathrooms bhi bahut saaf-suthre the.

Mai words ka kam upyog karne wala insaan hoon, shayad mai yahaan experience ko kam bata raha hoon. Shayad aapko wahin jake dekhna padega manne ke liye.

Mera mashwara hai, agar kabhi aap wahan jaaye aur ek achha sthaan chahiye toh KGM mein ek retiring room book karlo bina soche samjhe.

Dormitories/retiring rooms pehle floor par hote hain aur entry (main entry gate ka right side) aur registration desk (platform par) concourse ke kinare par hote hain.

P.S. Main raat mein der se pahuncha tha aur subah jaldi chala gaya isliye maine koi photo nahi le paya.

This place is perfect for train watching (#RailFanning) coz of the hills (#KumaonHimalayas) on 3 sides. The train tracks curve beautifully and end at the terminal. The weather was great at first but then suddenly it started raining cats and dogs. It's one of the best places for train spotting in NER. Thanks to Tushar and Abdus for suggesting this place. Mast place hai bhai #RailFanning karne ka, Kumaon Himalayas ke foothills hai iske charo taraf. Ek dam Jhakkas railways ka curve hai yahan. Terminal bhi hai yahan, khatam hoti hai yeh jagah. Mausam bhi mast tha bhai, dhup nikli thi par achanak se badal chha gaye aur rim jhim ka baarish shuru ho gayi. Kuch hi der baad bhari barish shuru ho gayi.
