Vellore cantt..Vellore town is there..still Katpadi is called by Vellore...very strange.
KPD is strategically located in between MAS-SBC and VM-TPTY lines. Its the most important station for Vellore.
That all is okk..but my point is ..whem already Vellore named stn exists..still ..why..KPD should be called as Vellore.
Katpadi is a constituency inside Vellore district. Typically we include the district name as well in the address. Inside Vellore district, there is also Vellore city where the Vellore cantt station is, AFAIK. so it makes perfect sense.
