The last image shows tracks coming from Transport Nagar in Lucknow. It is currently a freight only track/station but is being developed so that trains can bypass Lucknow NR when coming from Utratia Jn and going towards Moradabad side.

I used to travel on it from amethi to prayag and vice versa...then it used to cover ame prg strech in roughly 3.30 mins..
It is not the slowest still. Allahabad-Kanpur Passenger also has an average speed of 32 kph with similar mps for the train. I think Gorakhpur [Bhatni] - Ayodhya passenger is even slower at 29 kph and still gets late.
It is in the reverse direction that this train is truly slow, almost by an hour, I think.

I think you haven't seen Kanpur-Sitapur Passenger yet.

I have even traveled in it :p. That train's an outlier. Most of it average speed is lost due to the 3 hr halt at Balamau. Most of the train deboarded at BLM, I think, I remember. Add to it the relatively slow mps of the tracks in that section and it's not surprising. Though if you want to see actual slowness due to built in slack [not due to a giant 3 hr stoppage instead], look for the DC passenger [Dhanbad Chandrapura]

The LKO-ALD tracks aren't getting a big overhaul anytime soon. Only a decade back, they were running with sephamore signalling. As for AY-GKP Passenger, it mainly gets late at MUR due to controlling issues which is why passengers do not prefer it.
Yes, 3 trains to BSB and all get full. I have personally traveled in the morning one via PBH and it got completely full at LKO itself. I once spotted the evening Shuttle when it was ready to leave the tracks and people were jam packed in all coaches [ since there is no 2S reservation and only few AC coaches to speak of].
The Ganga Gomti doesn't get too crowded. Neither does the morning Allahabad bound Intercity from Lucknow. It also leaves at roughly the same time at the Varanasi bound...
