Ok in that case, its not something from railways side, no matter if railways augments more Non AC coaches, they simply will still crowd AC Coaches then.
I assumed it would be a case of Less SL/GEN but it turns out thats not the case.

Although railways can still appoint RPF in trains on this sidr and prevtn unlawful access to AC Compartments.

One reason is due to abrupt reduction of sleeper and general coaches .

But same situation has been highlighted in some trains running with ICF coaches and relatively ample amount of non ac coaches .

, another major reason is that ticketless travellers are allowed to enter the station premises , and they board the train they like, to their destination.

It also has to do with the mentality and attitude of people , who do not have any fear of authorities and take pride in ticketless travel in ac classes , and transform into a "regular offender ".

Railways should diligently work on :

1. Extensive checking on entry points of stations , to allow entry of passengers with valid tickets only . A ticket scan based entry system can be experimented with , and worked upon .

2. Railway station premises need to be adequately cordoned to reduce unauthorised " open access" to station premises .

3. The designated on board RPF team , TTCs and coach attendants should work actively and apprehend and fine the offenders .
Also , it is done in many trains at present - doors of ac coaches should be closed and locked . In case there is any boarding from intermediate stations (nowadays tabs are replacing the charts) , so TTC and attendant should co-ordinate and allow only specific passengers to board .


Its high time Railways starts working towards controlling this menace .

witness the level of crowd in Awadh Assam Express and in Mahananda Express on Saturday. Passengers were hanging on the doors of AC coaches even when coach was locked from inside. In Mahananda Express, there was no scope of passengers entering inside coach with Sleeper class confirmed ticket. They were forced to enter in AC coaches and had to travel with standing on doors and in gallery.

In AC coaches, there were fights and quarrel everywhere just like General coaches. Unauthorized passengers were emptying the seats for valid ticket holders but valid ticket holders could not use the space for setting up luggage or going to washrooms. Situations in First AC coach were more poor, because it is just beside Sleeper class coach.

Lastly i personally recommend that government employees working in RPF or GRP are completely failed to handle the situations, it is high time to transfer the management to private companies so they can help passengers and provide justice.

Another reason is just a 2-minute halt at Ghaziabad. The station deserves at least a 5-minute halt considering the crowd at the platforms. Sadly, there's no value of human life in India.

This is the actual reason. 2 Minutes stoppage is never sufficient for big stations. Many passengers have lost their lives due to only 2 minutes stoppage policy

People must NEVER board crowded Trains. Suppose you are traveling long distance & have only one DIRECT train which has GEN overcrowded, it is FAR BETTER to travel in the Next train with less crowd, deboard at a suitable station & then take the Next Train. Many people who are found sleeping at Railway stations are already doing this.or even travel in reverse direction to get to the starting point of the Train. This is better even if one needs 3/4 days instead of 1 day for travel. This must be taught as a safety lession in schools not to board over crowded Trains.

I recommend that Railways provide atleast 4 GEN coaches in all such trains, SL can be 2 or Zero, but GEN must be 4 minimum.
