Something unusual has happened. When VB is introduced in any route they degrade existing trains by increasing running time, stops 3 stations before for unscheduled overtake which can be avoided by punctuality of existing train (by giving good clerance) so that VB troll behind to its schedule. Great speedup by 20mins. Good job by respective division and zones.
So, it takes only ~8 hrs now and runs at the same slot as the VB, mostly. If only IR probably had added 6/7 more coaches to this train [it has space for that], they wouldn't have needed to run a separate train at all.

Exactly, instead of introducing VB on these routes, Rajya Rani goes way ahead. Be its CC, or stoppages, they serve the cities en route better. VBs as a train should be introduced between pair of cities having some criteria, like per capita income, frequency of travellers /patronage, MPS of route, demand and should be restricted 500-600 kms with atleast average speed of 80 km/h, otherwise intercity/RR/Jan shatabdi serve the cities better.
