This has been restored I think. The night train (Karwar to Bengaluru via Mangalore) on Sunday i.e., 25th August which is supposed to reach SBC on Monday morning has reached SBC on time at 8 AM. I am listening to FM radio in the morning and heard this in their programme 'Railway Mahiti', (where they announce the arrival timings of some important trains at SBC) wherein they said Train No: 16518 from Karwar to SBC is arriving at right time i.e. 8 AM. Thanks to those involved in restoring the track who worked day and night under very difficult conditions.

I don't think it is restored. NTES also mentions train 16514/12 has cancelled.

We have to wait for someone who might have travelled in this train to confirm the news. It was supposed to be resumed from 25th as per earlier news report.

There is press release in twitter that yesterday's departure of 16512/14 is cancelled.
SBC-Karwar has departed from SBC yesterday and is cancelled between MAQ and Karwar, so is the return of this train today. It will start from MAQ.
