Already people are preferring flights between metro cities and I highly doubt that bullet train would be a success either.
But one thing is for sure that rake standardisation ke chakkar mein log aur railways kahi ke nahi rahenge i.e no relevant profit and no service to the people

Bullet train will be a success in the future as nhsrcl said that the price will be competitive with flights. Also bullet train involves hassle free travel. No one hour before flight rule.
