Again partiality against whole Dooars & Elephant Corridor...while NCB bound trains are forcefully started from SGUJ to have unnecessary loco reversal @ NJP at the same time APDJ bound trains are short terminated @ SGUJ.If the Govt is really interested yo decongest first remove all illegal encroachments from tracks b/w SGUT SGUJ...we've already forget about introduction of new trains while the existing g ones are also snatched from us .
Once Silguri was main station and no one dared to go NJP after 5pm from Siliguri (hope you know this) Now after delayed GC of Siliguri made matter upside down and again NFR is neglecting this into the city station.
Siliguri Jn had very good prospectives once the GC was done in 2003 it started with 3 PFs & had scope of Twp more PFs by dismantling the old MG PF..we must rember that stations like MFP us handling ten times more trains than SGUJ with 3 PF only...but the future of SGUJ was destroyed & the black days of the JN started from 2007 when Union Minister Jairam Ramesh strongly opposed movement of SF trains through Elephant Corridor. Whereas everyone knows that during MG era most of the connecting trains from NFR bound for LKO used this same path Thus all the importance of SGUJ was destroyed politically & now this station is in the verge of closure with a dark future for the 167 km hinterland...
To decongest the New Jalpaiguri station and its adjacent sections, it has been decided to change the travel route of some passenger trains along with change...
