nandu123412 7 blog postsI recently traveled in 12951 Mumbai Rajdhani,and liked it very much.The food was good,and the pantry stafs are not like before, they r really friendly 2 us nowadays.The only thing is that u wont be able 2 enjoy standing near the door as the AC attendant will warn u,but luckily the AC attendant was a malayale and we somehow became good friends and he allowed me 2 stand near the door.Only thing i hated was the Loco of Mumbai rajdhani(WAP 7),whereas i expected it 2 be WAP 5😢.Overall safety i can give it a 10 on 10,food was 9/10,puntuality was 8/10,cleanliness was 9 on 10.Please dont travel in S kranti rajdhani express as it takes longer time 2 travel.Thank You and enjoy ur journey In MUMBAI RAJDHANI OR THE KING OF RAJDHANI.

Best Rajdhani train to travel on, First Class food and service on first ac coach. Very neat and clean, spick and span All thanks to Suresh Prabhu's surge pricing and high flight fares which compelled me to travel in first ac at an already high fare. It felt like a moving hotel. Amazing interiors. Train reached half an hour late, fare is quite expensive for a 15 hr journey, but worth every penny and time spent on it. I am glad I travelled in first ac this time. I got 2 servings of tomato soup and sufficient food quantity and quality was as good as home made food, especially Rohu fried fish. 12951-12951 train is much better than 12953-12954, that is why it has less availability, I was shocked to see so many seats available in august kranti Rajdhani at last minute, now I know why. Also 12951 has lesser halts...

In terms of food and cleanliness, yes definitely. This was first AC. Even second ac itself is clean nowadays and railway staff are very friendly and helpful nowadays. I don't hesitate to give any tips as they deserve it for their hardwork. I only wish Suresh Prabhu did not apply the flexi system of pricing like in flights but still worth every penny.
Yes it is. In first ac you can opt for whatever you want from omlette, veg cutlet to poha along with fruits and cornflakes, you can opt for more than 1 item. Quality of food in first ac is very tasty. Second ac, you have a choice between omlette, poha, cutlet and Rava upma, quality is satisfactory.
I am planning to travel in 1A on a Rajdhani from Mumbai to Delhi, just to experience Rajdhani's 1A. But since AK Raj. can be boarded from Andheri and it is 1 hour later than 12951, it suits us more. Also reaching NZM is not an issue, thanks to Ola/Uber. Further you get lot of time to enjoy (?) the breakfast as arrival is at 11 AM.

Ya ya, I have travelled in 1A August kranti also, it is fine, you will get similar quality and service, though not sure whether you will get the blue birth ones or red berth ones. Only problem will be too may stops, and Nizamuddin station is a small station with only 7 platforms, it gets too congested with lot of local passengers sitting and crowding on platforms as well. New delhi station is one of the major and busiest stations in delhi with about 20 platforms. The 12951/12952 train takes lesser time and few halts. Almost same quality as both are rake sharing and similar onboard staff too.
Too many stops - No problem, we are travelling for leisure.
NZM crowding - I use Dadar Mumbai station daily, no other station can be as crowded.

easily, as wl1 is still low as 6.seets are reserved for ho/vip quota. atcharting, when thse seats are vacant, they are released to wl passengers, i guess it will confirm much before that.
Paying 50 or 100 is enough. It was nothing compared to the price you pay for the ticket.
