Good that they started e-loco manufacturing at DLW. I read there are few more diesel loco manufacturing facilities, like few Alcos allotted to Kudgi Power Plant were manufactured near Mumbai. Those plants too should take over e-loco production, if possible.
Also a WDG-4D for some company(which is not under IR) has been manufactured by DLW.
Thanks for the pic. However it is wrong that you have tagged this loco without any visible proof on the loco. Its neither written on loco nor available on official website.
I shouldnt have. But the loco is supposed to be 30509. I heard so in IRFCA forums too.
Parel shed (very close to Dadar) has been making and modifying shunters since quite some time, unlikely they'll take up e-loco production as shunters, their prime area of expertise, is a diesel only area.
