such a pointless train. doesnt help kannadigas, malayalees or anyone. run just so that a few politicians can say that they put a train between bangalore mangalore. useless for all and guaranteed to run empty
Both timings and days of frequency are quite inconvenient. Dont know whether it will be patronised and will serve its purpose. Leaves bangalore on sundays !!!! Passengers would rather prefer a departure on a saturday to save on a day. It reaches mangalore at about 5.30 in evening on monday and starts its return journey at 8.30pm i.e a gap of only 2 hours. So one can imagine is the train is late the departure from mangalore is further delayed
The most convenient day/timing for Yesvantpur-Mangalore express is on Saturdays 6.30PM leaving Yesvantpur and arriving Mangalore at around 9AM on Sundays. In return, the most convenient day for Mangalore-Yesvantpur express is on Sundays, leaving Mangalore at 2PM and reaching Yesvantpur around 6AM on Mondays. Maximum number of passengers will benefit this schedule.
it is karnataka train proposed by other states, as i'm from Bangalore. If i want to travel for mangalore from Bangalore, i won't travel in this for sure, i would prefere Ypr-Kawr day express(via- ask, has), or ypr-kawr daily express(via- Sbc, Mys).
Though this train belongs to SWR, but TT was decided by SR. That is the reason the train is traversing SR region, making it lengthy and not through SWR. RM Kharge's sir have to look into this inconvenience caused with useless train
It is railway board's decision not SR's or SWR's . The operational difficulty through the ghat section is high . Moreover I read in a blog that in ghat section no crossing of the trains is allowed. So trains have to wait at Subramanya road or at Hassan if some other train is traversing through the ghats
