The work is going on to increase height at Pf no 2-3. I think that is the reason they have started giving this platform to Rajdhani frequently

I think it might be searching for a train to go Mumbai/Chennai. So that, It can meet with its friends on beach.. 😁
It didn't like rajdhani rake it seems...moved to the other side of the platform as the train approached 😂😂😂

This Chalukya express was meant as a dedicated train for Mumbai Bangalore passengers. Extension of 3 days to Tirunelveli and 3 days to Pondicherry itself was a foolish decision, taken to appease Karnataka private bus operators. Just see the pathetic timings and of this train in SR/ SWR Stretch.
To cater to Thiruchendur, Tenkasi and Tuticorin, SR should introduce a train. Not depending on CR or spoiling an already spoiled train.
In my view, SR's NCJ CSMT should run daily via MDU SA KJM DMM GTL SUR...

More than Bangalore (which relies on Udyan and LTT-CBE), this one was more of a lifeline for interior Karnataka to reach Mumbai or reach Bangalore by night. NW Karnataka got UBL-DR later on, rest of the section has not been compensated. Bangalore needs a SF in this route with convenient timings at both Mumbai and Pune.
The General Quota for this, I think starts from Dindigul/Madurai (when it enters Madurai division) from where onwards the train starts emptying steadily and an extension to Tiruchendur would give an option to pilgrims...

This train was meant for Karnataka -- North west, central areas apart from Bangalore.
Why can't you demand SR run a train from Tiruchendur to Mumbai via any route? Why insistence on Chalukya?
Anyway, Chalukya route is not the shortest or fastest or cheapest route for south TN to Mumbai.

Bangalore Mumbai had 3 dedicated trains and a passing train.
Kurla Bangalore was extended to become LTT CBE. Then Chalukya was extended. Udyan was handed over to CR and made as a fast passenger.
Apart from this, daily Train of SR Cochin/ Mangalore to LTT was running via KJM pre Konkan era. Now vanished.
Pre covid era, 4 days a...

I am not going to refute the facts you have pointed out regarding Bangalore.
The 11302 Udyan is obnoxiously slow (just as 11013 LTT-CBE, in the opposite direction) and you can't pinpoint the issue to one specific zone.

Everyone knows that this train was going to get recategorized. But there was no idea that why is it happening. I am in support that it doesn't deserve to go as M/E.
But through some sources I came to know that due to too much halts, its delay chances are increasing due to which this notice was issued. Even though it is dropped now, but in future again it can be implemented.

Well you are right. Might be possible any Amrit Bharat on same route could have been planned.
And if any train which should get recategorized is 12875. Seriously, it is having too many halts and avg speed is less than to qualify as SF train.

Even with all these halts it's easily maintaining its TT.
Even the present TT is not very tight, there are many Division and Zone changing slacks.

My wild guess is RB might be planning to redefine criterion for SFE. But, I might be wrong as well.
