This follows a very very long route (so slow) train from Chennai to Guruvayur. Chennai-Madurai Koodal exp and Madurai-Guruvayur exp were combined to get this train. I think now these two can once again be separated as follows:
(1) Chennai - Kanyakumari Koodal exp (dep 07:00 reaching Kanyakumari 19:00)
(2) Madurai - Guruvayur exp as of old.

Thank you for replying. I have also travelled in this train. That's why I feel that it can be made into 3 trains:
(1) Chennai to Kanyakumari daily express with same timings as 16127.
(2) Madurai to Guruvayur daily express (dep 06:00am) with timings to suit people from these places to go to Guruvayur and also to other places in Kerala.
