AfraazSuhail^~ 6885 blog postsI think the biggest succes of Indian Railways till date is connecting far northeast to rest of India. No more these places are unconnected to rest of India. Hope more northeast states like Mizoram, Tripura, Nagaland and Manipur get a proper rail connectivity as soon as possible. Even states like Arunanchal Pradesh, Sikkim and Meghalaya need more rail connection. Its very important to give rail coonectivity to the seven sisters so that to give India a progress in all fields. Thanks to Indian Railways for giving much needed demand to the people of this region.

Our Foreign Minister has said that the Central Govt is sending pilgrims in batches as I have seen on India TV. The new route has a good road but it's quite narrow sliced betweeb mountains and gorges. The road route is zig-zag but you can visit the official site launched by the govt for further details :-)
i dont think siligiri-gangtok, even a stone has moved,,,,the env/forest clearnce is major impediment, and then will be terrain.

Is work in progress for Siliguri-Gangtok line? If yes, it would be a big boost to tourism
Progress is on paper and being pushed through the red tape hurdles... let's see if the IR Budget 2015 has something for this route or not :-)
Every place of north east needs to be connected to rest of India. Work for it should be fastened
