Passengers of the Hazrat Nizamuddin(Delhi)-Hyderabad Dakshin Express had a providential escapeas a disaster was averted at the Bhopal Station today. As the train pulled in beside Platform Number 1, a loudnoise caused panic. Railway sources said the noise was caused due to rail fracture (breaking of a part of the track). Deputy Station Superintendent (Operating) Rajeev Chouhanalerted the Engineering Section. The track was repaired on temporary basis and the Express continued on its journey after about half an hour. Following the train's departure, the track was repaired permanently. A major accident was avoided as the Express'speed was low. The train reaches Bhopal at 1010 hrs and hasa five-minute halt. Constant traffic and water-logging has affected thecement support beneath the tracks.UNI PSB-AC RJ BD1805
