Today 12244 got 30426. One EOG was switched off. But it was not due to HOG. /blog/post/1827577.
Just expecting as both Poorva have LHB+130 clearance and are primary contenders for HOG WAP-7 after HWH RAJDHANI and along with SDAH DURANTO.
but that would require a rectifier right? Because the compressors for AC and fans inside compartment are DC in nature.
For A/C Self-generating coaches, the system is like this. Two 25KW alternators are connected to the axles to generate power. This output is rectified to 110V DC and charges the coach batteries. This DC is again fed to two 25KVA inverters that supply 415V 3 phase current to the roof mounted A/C units. Earlier, when IR used under-slung A/C units, they used DC compressors. The roof mounted AC units that are commonly used in ICF coaches now are induction motors.
HWH Rajdhani or RNC Shatabdi was expected to get this loco.
I'll be spotting this loco very soon.
