Mujhe pehle hi pata tha ki ye train kabhi bhi successful nahi ho sakti...Ye shuru se hi na to khud ki revenue generate karti hai aur na hi kabhi kabhi shatabdi ko karne deti hai...aur jis desh me gatimaan flop ho rahi hai jiska fare thoda hi zyada hai shatabdi me us desh me koi bullet trains chalane ki soch bhi kaise sakta hai.

May be.. but still datapoints are not enough. Assume at the start of WL1 in Shatabadi, 100 seats have been booked by NDLS-AGC passengers and all others have been booked by other station passengers. If at that time 200 seats have been booked in Gatimaan, then what is the conclusion?

Ye to hona hi tha, upgrade Bhopal Shatabdi's speed.
Shatabdi ki WL 60% NDLS-GWL ke karan hai, baki bachi kuchi GWL-BPL hai, Quota is same for every Halt of shatabdi.
Gatimaan main jitte log travel kar rahe hain vo pehle bpl Shatabdi main karte thee, iss season ke time Bhopal Shatabdi main extra coach lagna aam baat hua karti thii, WL 150-160 tak hoti thii...

This i already highlighted as WL in shatabdi doesnt mean dedicated WL for NDLS-AGC (bt complete route)!!
If NDLS-MTJ get in WL-1, any booking for Shatabdi will lead to WL-2 afterwards & so on!!
While Gatimaan booking is totally based for NDLS-AGC!! But still two facts: booking for Gatimaan gt slowed down & WL in Shatabdi lead to attract traveler book Gatimaan!!
