Just saw the running status of 12314. It passed from MRE to BMU in just 3 minutes (23:43 to 23:46). Now, the distance is around 8 km so it means the train had a speed of around 160 km/hr in this duration. Now how is this possible if maximum allowed speed is 130 km/hr? Does this mean some kind of error in the reporting times as it galloped across these stations or do the trains really happen to reach such speeds at times?

Ntes as always is full of errors...Infact there is a train running in real world and a separate one in NTES
I recall one incident which occurred to me ... I was standing at PF no 9A of sealdah to spot a delayed 12260 having got a news that it is 2 hrs late.
As I could find no signal of the incoming train I switched on Ntes and astonishingly found that it entered sdah few minutes ago ...I don't know if it was a ghost train or what but the real train...

NTES is NT at all trustoworthy. Once I Had the upper berth and was travelling Vadodara exp which usually reaches Vadodara at 6am in mrng. Since I was on upper berth I checked and it showed train has rchd Vadodara... But the time I chckd the status it was easily running on 80+kmph... I asked the person on lower berth n he tld me that train has NT yet crossed Bharuch... There was a delay due signalling... So u CN very well mk out now...
