Its totally out of logic why Rly wants this train(on PSK slot) to cover NJP GHY(461 km) within 7-7.5hrs & thereby changing the route from bg2 to bg3 whereas it covers only 331 km in 8 hrs from Mughal Sarai to Begu Sarai..Dont the passengers get frustrated when they travel slow in ECR/NCR? Only NFR is culprit?

Its a huge misconception of RB that BG3 is no more capable of running Mail/Exp trains considering the track standards of nearby Bihar/UP where long distant trains are successfully running at 30-40 kmph...
Already single slow rail line pe aur trains divert kar di...hadd karta hai IR bhi..
the only problematic section in this train's TT is the one between PPTA and BJU which has a low average, most probably due to poor quality of P-way and congestion.
But that section is only 100 Kms or so, not a huge impact on TT due to that. BJU-KIR is also slow but that is due to zonal interchange, which more often than not leads to addition of dollops of slack to train's TT, not much can be done there. As for those who blame NFR, most are those who have seen the amount of rains in a month what NE part of India sees in a day; it is difficult to understand situations from such POV.
