SagarJambagaru~ 375 blog postsThe Karwar SBC Express Via Mysore (T.NO:16524) arrives at Suratkal at 19.04 and leaves at19.06 after a brief halt. But in IRI time table it is showing as arriving at 19.21 and leaving at 19.22 which is not correct. Please correct the arrival and departure time at Suratkal as many passengers boarding at Suratkal may miss the train if they depend on the time table published in Indian Rail Information web site.

Sir, please wait till 24th of this month. I will be getting down at Suratkal on 23rd morning by SBC KWR (Via Mysore) T.No:16523 and find out from the station the actual departure time of this train from the time table displayed at the station (towards SBC) and confirm the correct time. But, I am sure that it is not 19.21-19.22. It is atleast 10 minutes early.
May be after the change in timings from 1st October 2016, it is arriving at Suratkal (SL) at 19.21 as I have not travelled after the change in timings.
On 23rd November 2016 morning I got down at suratkal by 16523( KSR SBC to Karwar express via Mysore) and found out from the time table displayed at station which is ARR 19.21 and DEP 19.22, which is as per the time table of this train displayed at IRI web site. But its coach composition is not correct. It is after engine, SLR, UR, AC coaches and then S1 to S9 while from SBC to Mysore.
As per the official TT it is 19:21.
This train rests at MAQ about 45 minutes and its counterpart 16518 for two hours. Simply waste of time. It can leave 20:30 after amalgamation.

You are right. It can very well leave at 20.30 from Mangalore central instead of 20.55 (present timings) and reach SBC half an hour early which is very helpful for office goers and Techies who have to report at office early in the morning. Also, there are many crossings between Karwar and Mangalore which is also the reason why it is taking so much time to reach Mangalore. However, the track doubling (which is going on in brisk phase between MAQ JN and Nantur and if extended till Karwar) will solve all these problems after which probably the journey time between Karwar and Bangalore will get reduced considerably
