With the inauguration of this Rail bogie factory, will the production of LHB coaches at Perambur and Kapurtala speed up? Any info, anyone?
Well ICF has its own LHB production facility inside to produce bogies ,shells for LHB coaches . As far as I know, only wheels are being brought outside from Wheel factory in Bengaluru, bogies are made in one of the LHB division bays, while other bays are for making undercarriage and shell making.
Yes, we can expect speedup because at the end of September, ICF coach production is going to stop at perambur and they will produce only LHB coaches. With increase in demand, more bogies should be produced to cater the needs..
