How contrary this Rajdhani Exp has been compared to Rajdhanis which connect cities like Mumbai or Calcutta to New Delhi, though as per Bangalore has also been developed as a high class Metro City. From Patna/Calcutta/Mumbai if u take a Rajdhani to reach the Capital, your journey is so brief that it starts on an evening & by the morning u're there in the Capital. You take the train, enjoy a delicious dinner, have good snap, wake up,have breakffast & there you're,New Delhi is ready to welcome u. Where as the distance is likely to be 800 kms more while you travel from Bangaloreto Delhi, but the time taken is almost a day extra, which u've to spend on the train when comparing with other Metro Connecting Rajdhanis. Is it fare....???
Moreover

there should be a noteable difference in Journey time, when u're travelling in Rajdhani & not in an Ordinary Mail/Exp train.Take for eg,Kolkata/Mumbai,where in Other trains u've to spend a full day in train,in Rajdhani ,its just a matter of one night. But is there a huge difference in time when we compare trains like Karnataka Sampark Kranti or Karnataka Exp with the Respected Bangalore Rajdhani.....???
Moreover when Economy Class Airlines like Spicejet & kingfisher are providing tickets for Delhi from Bangalore which is just more than the AC 2 Tier Fare & cheaper than the 1A,I think the Railways should seriously look into speeding up this train.

There is some problem with Timings actually. In this case, the speed can be increased but again ,the single line has to be adjusted. This again hampers halts of other trains in the same area. I dont compare with flight in this regard.
Also, a bit out of box, HWH MAS speed can be increased. After the complete electrification, the timings have been pushed more late in the night. And the arrival timings on both sides reduced. But,if they push it more, the date is gonna change which might draw major controversies again.

is seen in several Trains too.

hmm-anyway timing wise this train has advantage of connecting Bangalore and Secunderabad, Bangalore and Delhi as well as Secunderabad and Delhi with good timings-not much can be commented on the train which 4 years back took 36 hrs and was speeded up by 3 hrs in 2007 between Bangalore and Nizamuddin

still i feel it is comfortable. anyway for long journeys most of the people prefer ac. so you can consider it as ac train for long distance.
however,a rajdhani from sbc-ndls with folloing timings could be fair:
sbc-0600
kcg:1500
ngp-2215
...

bpl-0345
ndls-1130
ndls:1500
bpl-2250
ngp-0415
sc-1230
sbc-2200

Why do you want to waste the previous night?
business people and office goer's will not prefer such.
Hotel rooms and leaves matter them a lot.
