Who told that JS have subsidised fares?
Soon our able reporters shall start telling the people, that all SFs, ACSFs, Express trains without Suvidha/Flexi/Special fares are highly subsidised trains!!

I recommend you to get operation costs of any one Janshatabdi Express and Earnings for one financial year(except 12051/2, as it runs on inflated kms fare route), Janshatabdi fares are highly subsidised.
* Most of the Shatabdies, Durontos & ACDD trains are making huge losses, does it mean that their fare is subsidised??
* Train incurs loss when its total revenue is lesser than total expenses incurred on the train. And there are many factors which come into play and fare is just one of them. The most important factors are the number of passengers carried and the average contribution of each pax.

Shatabdi, Duronto and Rajdhani category trains are not at all subsidised, and so is not ACDD, however any non AC class apart from the first 3 stated are subsidised modes of travel, there is no relation to occupancy as such.
