* A big jump by Raipur division (SECR) in matter of passenger revenue from a lowly 43rd position in 2016-17 to 23rd position in 2017-18.
* It indicates that weightage given by IRlys to passenger traffic revenue, and its growth for the assessment of performance of GMs/DRMs has brought good result. SECR, a predominantly freight railway has also started giving importance to passenger traffic. Mor new trains could not be introduced from this division unless capacity augmentation of the solitary rail terminal i.e Durg is augmented or new terminal at Nayaraipur comes up.
