Sandwiched between Doddajala and Devanahalli railway stations in Bengaluru, the trumpet flyover is in the midst of all conversations on the topic of suburban rail since...

Part of the problem lies with KSRTC and BMTC also. If they run normal non AC services to nearby towns like Hosur, Kolar, Ramanagara, Kanakapura, Tumkur, Kunigal, Doddaballapur and Chikkaballapur, etc crowd will become less in and around majestic area. If one has to travel to these places, one has to take AC service to majestic or Satelite bus stand. From airport, only Volvo services are run that too to far off Mysore, Mangalore, etc. It is sad to note that there is not even a single bus from Hosur road -- Silk board, Electronic City, Attibele- to Satellite bus stand!
Good initiative though might not be so easy for railways to implement. As it is this route is choked with it being single line and so many passenger and express trains crossings etc......not that easy for railways.
Good example is suburban trains on Whitefield-Bangalore-YPR route. Even though it is doubled railways is unable to run services during peak hours when it is really required. The line near airport is single line and being doubled.
Hopefully in future they might explore but needs to be done fast
