Actually there was some post in some site stating that GY DLS would be homing WDG 4G AND 6G in south india .This happened when these locos came for trials to MLY shed. If anyone remembers it they can share it.But later it was told that only GIMB AND ROZA DLS would be homing. I think around 1000 GE Diesel locos would be manufactured so as both GE DLS are in north so in south GY might get after few years.Actually the plan should have been 1 GE DLS at ROZA an other at GY so that there would. Loco shed 1 in north and 1 in south. Similarly WAG 12 sheds should have been at SRE and LGD.

I think once DFCs are fully functional then GE AND ALSTOM locos would be mainly serving it.So I feel these locos entering south would be rare . Southern DFCs are still at proposal stage and take many years. Rest of indian railways freight would be served by WAG 9HH,WAG 9H,WDG 4s
Something is wrong with this document , NER has commissioned WAP 7s at GD (NER) , yet thos doesn’t mentions it
