Railways should seriously think of connecting BYPL bypass line (Salem line) with SMVB terminal, by way of a horse shoe type link line. This will give tremendous flexibility in operation. Trains from YNK side can enter SMVB and go towards Salem line without loco reversal. If this is done, one can think of a Chennai Hosur train via SMVB (KJM line-SMVB-Salem bypass line).
Hope this is explored.

Yes good option if they are able to explore that well. It can also give suburban circular connectivity to places between Hosur-WFD, BWT as well . From BAND when one connects to Salem line , they can form something similar we can see at Shoranur ( like a V shape) where a line from the terminal can also join.
