(YNRK-ADI/Load-25B), After starting Ex.RANI Station, JE/YRD informed that OHE vibrating, checked and found fromt panto PT-2 carbon strip worn out and panto nut bolt between upper & lower frame was loose & nut was missing . Isolated PT-2 and worked with PT-1 with restricted speed 80 kmph. Major/Sec-AII-ABR, Minor/Sec- (RANI-FA), Time-9.44-10.12 hrs.

I totally understand that railways are doing constant research on this issue... They even had to invite Faiveley to see what their pantographs can do but still they are working on it. I have read one of the reports from Schunk citing that if more speed is applied to the panto in the section then wear and tear will increase and I have even notice a lot of dancing and shaking on the panto because again it is working against all physics and aerodynamic situations.
Let's just put efficiency aside and first understand what a stupid work they did with DFC... They are using HR OHE from I believe somewhere from Rewari to Palanpur in DFC and then it gets shorten down to normal to continue in Palanpur - JNPT section. This is pure stupidity that they are doing thinking we will run a double stack from Rewari and can either send a double stack to pipavav port or do some double work to take those upper containers off to send it to JNPT... I mean for God's sake you could have just made a whole freaking Phython or Anaconda whichever you like to run the whole think non-stop because their no railway crossings on the track... I mean what on the earth where they thinking when electrifying ADI - Delhi mainline.
But hey some good results and progress is shown by the Favieley LX 3600 panto which current WAG 12s are already equipped with and BRC is installing on P4/5/7 left and right whichever one is in the shed and probably use this HR testing opportunity now that the mainline is open to do some extensive testing and hopefully some sensible and logically solution comes out.
They have made pure khichdi. Similarly short section of phulera- kanakpura (jaipur) is High rise...and after kanakpura..jaipur..bandikui is normal. Ajmer is normal..but madar and durai are high rise. What a mess. Are they engineers or what? Nw route ka kabaad krdiya just for sake of freight corridor and freight trains.
