So when merging traffic is a problem, as we cannot reroute MKP and CPU traffic anywhere else, we should probably route considerable CNB traffic itself towards LKO/ ON, or maybe straight away from Delhi to LKO, BSB and then DDU. Only then traffic over CNB DDU can probably reduce.
Here is an example. I recently got to know that while the shortest route from Delhi to GHY goes via GKP KIR, most of the trains (Rajdhani, NE, BP Mail, NESK) run via CNB DDU. As CNB DDU already receives passenger traffic from Odisha, WB, JH, Bihar why do we need to add NE traffic to it? Keeping one or two intact (like Raj and BP) IR should probably reroute the others.

Similar can be done with other trains bound to different destinations. IR is itself responsible for ruining and clogging CNB DDU section.
