Clear example of low cancellation charges. Passengers book the ticket even when they are not sure that will they travel or not.
No, you missed the indicator...It is signifying that owing to mass cancellation of trains without advance notification and massive late running of trains( SECR is languishing in bottom position in the punctuality rankings continuously from past two years) has led to mistrust in the minds of public. They don't want to risk their festive season hanging in lurch whether train will run or get cancelled or will run with hours of delay and this is forcing them to choose other means ( road/flight) even if its costing them dearer.
Then this is wrong. Why Railway is failed to maintain the punctuality.
More focus on freight operations and resultant track maintenance work
