What was the last time that you travelled in a train that was hauled by a Diesel Engine in this electric era, mine was 22433 Suhaildev SF Express, once the fastest diesel train in India.

Last year in August i had my last journey in a diesel hauled train as lalitpur khajuraho section was not electrified at that time it later got electrified in October 2022 i travelled from nzm to kurj in 11842 gita jayanti express and i remember wap 4 was hauling the train till jhansi and from jhansi to khajuraho wdp4 emd was hauling the train now gita jayanti runs with wap4 end to end but my favourite diesel hauled train was 19665/6 khajuraho udaipur express with icf rakes and old alco had last diesel hauled journey in that in March 2021 from gwl to kurj

What about steam journey?
As a kid I remember lot of steam engine travel from nrw to kkde.
We used to set opposite direction to engine to avoid small coal particles going into eyes.

Very recently, in fact when going from Lucknow-Guwahati. My train took the loop line instead of the direct one to Kamakhya/Guwahati. It went via Goalpara Town due to which it had to undergo a loco change at Bongaigaon.
Otherwise, in the past, when LKO-PBH-BSB section was not electrified, I remember the Neelanchal express undergoing loco change at both LKO and MGS due to the diesel loco requirement in the middle.
