Bhopal Shatabdi: chalti hai ek dum hawa ke mafik, speed aisi ke ruka de traffic - Varun

Today I learned that this was the first Shatabdi. Did this run directly upto Bhopal right from the beginning or was it extended? Also, which was the second Shatabdi? The Lucknow Shatabdi is also quite old from the early nineties. It used to run upto Kanpur upto then with a non stop run b/w CNB and NDLS.

It was started between New Delhi and Jhansi later after JHS-BPL electrification it was extended to Bhopal. I guess when then RM Late Shri Madhavrao Scindia announced it then it was till Gwalior only but started from Jhansi ( not sure on this). Tagged member might be able to tell this better.

Initialy it was delhi to gwailor then jhansi then bhopal now finally rani kamlapati(habibganj)
