Assam Mail was running till 1965. 1959-65 route was DLI-BJU via PNBE in BG & BJU-AMJ(Later DBRT via GHY-LMG-NTSK) in MG via KIR-BOE-PBP-KNA(Sealdah part linked)-GTG-GKJ-BNGN-RNY. In 1965 Sealdah-KNA part was permanently cancelled & route of Assam Mail changed to BJU-KIR-BOE-SGUJ-APDJ-BNGN-RNY-GHY-LMG-MXN-NTSK.

yes. But changed in 1965. New Jalpaiguri, New Bongaigaon & New Tinsukia stations were made in 1964-65. Aluabari-Rangapani-New Jalpaiguri BG Line was made in 1964-65. 2 bridges on Mahananda River were made during that time. Dibrugarh trains used to reverse at New Tinsukia untill from 1965 to 2010. Every trains except Rajdhani had 45 mins halt at Dibrugarh for reversal Giving 2006 TT screenshot of GHY-DBRT. Assam Mail changed it route in BJU-KIR-BOE-KNE-TKG-SGUJ-APDJ-NBQ from BJU-KIR-BOE-RDP-PBP-KNA-GTG-GKJ-BNGN after 1965 Indo-Pak War.
