Total No. of population of Elephant=7000 in Dooars Forest & every month the no is rising because many Female Elephants are pregnant.also most of the time elephants are nearby rail tracks only...bcoz rail tracks themselves are inside core forests...so we need such a device from IIT Delhi which doesnt tell about the presence of Elephant but it should tell whether the Elephants are crossing the tracks or not.
