First put dustbin please then think about segregating. Platform 1 of NDLS does not have a dustbin at least after the food lounge till the Ajmeri Gate road overbridge. For throwing anything you have to go to the food lounge. I was to board the Amritsar Shatabdi and had to go to the lounge to throw wrappers. I saw many people throwing items on the platform itself. The railways is taking swachh tax etc. and I don't think the railways has to invest crores to put some dustbins.

Certainly Durg requires a stoppage. If it can stop at Thane after departing from LTT and in Angul, Talcher, Dhenkanal etc etc. in Orissa, certainly there is justification for halt in Durg - Bhilai.

The trains in which surge pricing has been introduced have catering facility. So if the occupancy rate is say 60%, then railways has to pay for only 60 persons only. However the railways has already collected fare for 100 persons through surge pricing. There lies the economics of the scheme. Railways does not need full capacity.
Places such as Chandigarh, Amritsar, Dehradun, Jaipur are very well connected to Delhi by deluxe luxury buses. People will prefer these options.

There should be a move by all railway passengers travelling by Shatabdi, Rajdhani & Duronto trains to travel by air. As it is now u have to book your train ticket 4 months in advance. Book your air tickets 4 months in advance. You will certainly have to pay less by air than train. It will be time saving and more comfortable. Just for earning INR 400 crores, railways has taken a huge risk. It is bound to have a political impact as well.

SaurabhDubey^~ 30303 blog postsWith the perspective of new flexi fare scheme, from each route a list of non premiere trains which give premiere like performance should be made which we can suggest to our friends family and acquaintance, which is a duty being RF. In this way we can help them save their money.
I add with bsp -ndls route and ask upon all to add trains to this list. List is in ascending order of ticket cost to performance ratio.[ plz don't include any suvidha / raj,shatabdi/duro)
1. Hirakund Express.

This is the positive side of a Chartered Accountant being at the helm of affairs of a ministry like Railways. Officially there is no passenger fare hike but there is a hike through surge pricing / dynamic pricing etc etc by whatsoever name you call. What crime have the airlines committed with they charge exorbitantly for a one way ticket between metros during winter / Christmas holidays. The DGCA issues notices / warning letters to airlines. Who will issue notice to railways? In one stroke, railways revenue got a boost when the half ticket was abolished and that too without investing a penny.

Railways is not a fool. Now it is being run by a Chartered Accountant. This CA has the ability to help railways earn substantial revenue without investing a rupee. Example no half tickets for children. CGSK will not be given LHB as railways know that all passengers of BSP Rajdhani will get diverted to Sampark Kranti. As it is BSP Rajdhani was the last rajdhani to be allotted LHB coaches.

in yr blog post of sept 9, 2016 no 1984612-5, u hav yrself written that CGSK ko ekbar LHB milne to do. In that context itself I said that Railways will not give LHB to sampark kranti nor run it daily because it is not a fool. If this happens who will travel by BSP Rajdhani and Gondwana. This is what I said. Pls do not twist the statement and turn it according to what you interpret.
