Whilst the CNB-ALD section runs at/beyond capacity and the trend is similar for CNB-ON-LKO section; we have tracks running from Unnao-Sitapur which are woefully underutilized and see only a single pair of passenger train per day. Same is for the ON-RBL tracks which too has too little trains. IR ought to upgrade these sections both to benefit passengers on this route and exploring alternate routes.

NR is least interested to develop unless NCR suggests on the exhaustion capacity. For Unnao to Sitapur it's partially the NR again and has to join hands with NER to develop. Unless miracle there's no scope of seeing an upgrade + alternative route.
NR has achieved the great feat of upgrading their LKO-MB line to 110kmph just recently. That is their mainline to Delhi.
Rejuvanating and utilising the branchlines with not so big cities enroute? It'll be too much to expect from them, atleast for a 100 years. Let NCR do everything for passengers, NR is okay cashing freight revenues.

It's the person's willingness to address with the old or existing names. There's no specific obligation. If you are not comfortable addressing as Allahabad you can stop.
Also an bypass to connect Lucknow Alamnagar with Kanpur wali line and Lucknow city wali(NER) line very much. Lucknow Charbagh bahut congested hai. Both NR and NER Should agree in view of passenger comfort and ensure load reduction rather than zonal issue....... Aur Tirupati to Lucknow via Vijayavada Gondia Jabalpur PCOI BSB JNU Ayodhya ke beech mein ek train zaroor shuru karna bhi chahiye. Tirupati aur Lucknow ke beech mein koi gadi nahi hai(Pehle YPR LKO Renigunta hokar chaley they ab via Perambur kardiya) similar case for Gorakhpur as well....

Don't reduce the AC coaches but remove the 2 parcel vans we will be left with just 18 LHB coaches then add three more SL and one GS. Also reduce the WL in SL class and convert the GS to 2S. RPF and TTEs to ensure strictly that WL and UR pax don't enter the fully reserved train thereafter.
Yes, this should have been implemented long back, atleast 15-18 years ago. Gradually they should have removed one by one, after each 3-4 years
Also things like LHB conversion, DFCs, doubling, tripling, quadrapling, new line projects which are implemented now should have been done long back but instead they focussed only on introducing new and new trains adding new category of trains without anyone giving a serious thought on capacity expansion. Also Railways should have gradually raised fares in SL and GS classes too in accordance with the inflation over the years. But they didn't do any unfortunately and we are in the mess now.

Firstly, I am totally against the standardization happening at such a speedy rate. Please do not consider me as one who would support these things. This should have had been started long back to comply with the current scenario and also at a slow rate. In that case my support would have been to this concept. For that, it should have been done that every 2-3 years, one SL/GS is replaced by one other AC coach. Then today all this hue and cry would be out.

Kolkata is extra station. Means it is counted as a secondary station to serve kolkata city. Howrah and Sealdah are the oldest stations and are the main stations to serve kolkata. Just like NDLS and DLI and ANVT is secondary station to serve Delhi city
Biggest problem is connectivity. Howrah and Sealdah has good connectivity rather than Kolkata Terminal.

Kolkata is not a Jn. Up lines goes towards Dum Dum JN & Down line comes from Majerhat which is on suburban route. The line bifurcating goes towards a factory that is not used by local trains
In Sealdah POV kolkata has better connectivity than Sealdah but Still many people prefer Howrah , Sealdah over Kolkata

I want to know that there is a separate Varanasi Division in NER Zone, then why Varanasi Jn is not under that zone. And then BSBS is under that zone. If we see this according to the area/map then BSBS is separate from its zone due to BSB, Kashi Station in between and then continues from BSBS to Prayagraj Rambagh. Further, why LKO and LJN having 2 diff zones?

So, we can easily say that BSB is controlled by both the zones, but it mainly belongs to NR only. For some specific services NER is responsible like 12561,15022 and many more.
BSB is controlled by NR completely, only a few platforms are used by NER to attend their trains from BCY side, also ones coming from BSBS. This was the reason that in initial days VB used to originate from PF5. I'm not sure about the current situation. Maybe a some other member can explain it better.
Its under NR but pf 1 to 3 is under lease to NER for their operations... But i guess the lease has been stopped now as pf 1 to 3 cgs show NR now not NER anymore..

In simple words. NER meter gauge zone tha. LJN entirely aur BSB PF1,2,3 meter gauge the. Issiliye ye NER control karta tha. Ab NER ke khud ke stations bade BG terminals ban gaye hain, to it is operating from there.
As for BSB in NR, broad gauge station NR me aa gaya. Aur NR aur uske unions apne aaspas har bade station ko apne control me rakhna chahte hain, to BSB is still in NR.
