Howrah or Shalimar), but also paved way for run of Passenger traffic through the A.C.C. (Additional Chord Connector), that connected Eastern Railways and South Eastern Railways through Bhattanagar Loop. The train used to run with the conventional self generating (SG) ICF Rake.
And finally, on September 06, 2019, the train got the newest State of The Art LHB Coaches from Sealdah. Thanks to the CDO Employees, the rake was beautifully decorated and garlanded, and the ritual policy of breaking a coconut was followed as well. And as an icing on the cake, the train was HOG Equipped from the inaugural LHB Run too, being powered by 30503 HWH WAP- 7 (During the ICF Tenure, the train used to get HWH WAP- 4 as fixed link).
So enjoy the train making a grand departure from Sealdah on its first LHB run, and also check the train's last even run with ICF rake just two days prior.
The train follows the Sealdah- Bhattanagar Loop- Kharagpur- Balasore- Cuttack- Bhubaneshwar- Khurdah Road- Puri route.

In my 8 years of railfanning, I have never seen the train running better than 2 hours late. And in the worst of scenario, I have seen it running more than 24 hours late. But on this particular day, I was shocked to see the train running well ahead of its scheduled time. And more shockingly especially when all the other trains were losing time in between Asansol and Howrah/ Sealdah/ Kolkata due to an accident near Panagarh, and numerous TSR on HB Chord.
Well, I am not sure that in an absolute bizarre turn of fortune, did the train actually come ahead of its time, or as per whims and fancies, it was actually more than 23 hours late?? Seems the questions will remain unanswered.
The train follows the Ajmer- Jaipur- Agra Fort- Tundla- Kanpur- Allahabad- Mughal Sarai- Gaya- Dhanbad- Asanol- Sealdah route.
