Absolutely nothing. Most of SER trains have huge slack, I can say from my experience.
No initiative has yet been taken to increase the MPS of trains.

Many trains are reaching at "right time" just because of plenty of slack time allotted.
There is no meaning in saying the train is following right time just because of slack time. (Eg: 16528 have two hour running time for 15 Km between BAND-YPR)

Is there any quick-fix solution?
If yes, you must write to RM or RB..

Sir, there is no quick fix solution for the same but atleast they can pressurize the zones to run the trains on time.... they should now focus on the alternate routes to run the trains instead of over saturated routes like HWH-MGS-ALD-CNB-NDLS
De;hi - Kolkata trains runs with very very less slacks and then gets good AVG speed on paper. Where as in southern part slacks are less and avg speed is less, also trains arrives with minimum late. The arrival and dep at Chennai station is THE BEST when compared to other metros. Its all due to slacks and better time tables.
